about

Hi! Nice to meet you!

I am an American illustrator and writer and have been living in Ireland for the past 17 years. I work in pencil and colour my work digitally.

I grew up in Pittsburgh and spent the better part of my childhood drawing and creating imaginary worlds. (I even spent a fair amount of time trying to get to them!) I discovered a love of painting; first in oils and then acrylics. I graduated with a BA in Fine Arts and then I went on to complete an MA in Art History. I worked for many years as a production artist and a graphic designer, both in the USA and also in London. While in London I worked as a book designer for a small children’s publisher. I realised that what I really want to do is create my own books. Many years and moves and a couple of kids later, I am focused and working towards that goal.

I’m a member of SCBWI and have participated in 12×12.
